I posted an incomplete version of this post earlier. This is the full version.

We went for a walk along the wonderful Wharariki Beach today. I know I keep using that word ‘wonderful’ but this beach truly deserves that adjective.

The sand is so pale:

There are seals:

There are terns:

There are horses:

There are feet:

There are stumperies:

And there are enticing rock arches:

There were warnings not to swim because of dangerous rip tides so only paddling…

As we left the beach the final section of sand had become so hot to our bare feet we sprinted to the grass so we could sit down and don our shoes for protection.

Further along the coast there was a great viewpoint:Another great rock arch.

Tomorrow (Friday) we are returning to Blenheim, sad to leave all this paradise
